These cookies were a favorite of my stepsisters that my mama would make for them.
To prepare: Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Ingredients:
2 ¼ cups flour
¾ cup sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1cup softened butter
2 large eggs
2 cups white morsels (12 oz pkg)
½ cup shredded coconut (or to taste)
1 cup pecans
1 cup crazins
Directions:
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by well rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Baking time will vary with oven. It could take from 9-11 minutes up to 15 minutes depending on if you want them crispy or soft.
Legacy, something handed down from genereation to generation. Sometimes a legacy is a material item, a story, or even a recipe. This will be my family's legacy.

What I Miss the Most
I've been thinking a lot lately about my family's legacy. In the past 15 years I have lost three grandparents, one aunt, and both my parents. There are several things I miss about each of them but the memories I have are priceless.
However, one thing I miss most is my mama and grandma's cooking. So many recipes that they have made are gone. I am determined for that not to happen any further.
So to honor our family's legacy I am going to pool together all my resources (friends & family) and create this blog full of recipes and stories from our family so that generations down the line can enjoy them as much as we have all those years.
