Patti's Recipe for Hootie Creek Cookies

These cookies were a favorite of my stepsisters that my mama would make for them.

To prepare: Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Ingredients:
2 ¼ cups flour
¾ cup sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1cup softened butter
2 large eggs
2 cups white morsels (12 oz pkg)
½ cup shredded coconut (or to taste)
1 cup pecans
1 cup crazins

Directions:

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by well rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Baking time will vary with oven. It could take from 9-11 minutes up to 15 minutes depending on if you want them crispy or soft.
